I have searched to manuals and no examples or ideas. I see a bottom drain plug and I see two (2) plugs on top of transmission that have a hex shape hole in them. This is a manual front wheel drive transmission.
I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla, and I want to upgrade the factory speakers, 2 front doors, and 2 rear panel. I’ve always heard Pioneer was good, but I was wondering what others are recommended? I like to blast my music pretty loud so I want some that will last a long while, also I don’t want to spend too much money.

what nuts, bolts, pulleys,etc.,etc. do i need to loosen , remove etc., etc., to change out the belts. please don’t tell me to go buy a book. i’m mechanically inclined but i need help on this one. i really don’t want to take it to a mechanic unless its my last straw . thanks for any help.
I need to get the brake pads changed and the timing belt replaced. About how much would that cost? And while I’m at it, is there anything crucial I need to do? I just got a new battery, changed the spark plugs, changed the oil, replaced the air filter and replaced the alternator drive belt. The car has approx. 132,000 miles.
SRS light was on (airbag not working) and my horn would work. Not able to take it back until later I did notice when turning the wheel there was a slight noise and I thought a bearing was bad/dry. The report was that the Steering angle sensor was bad. In my slight research, no one has indicated that they just wear out over time. The fact that the steering column work was done, my understanding of what a steering angle sensor is and where it’s located ledad me to believe the sensor and cable were damaged during repair. Don’t have $650 to repair, especially if I’m not at fault. Suggestions please.
To provide clarity on timing of events, I called the shop 10 minutes after leaving, was not able to take back immediately. With travel schedule it took 3 weeks to drop off and coordinate. When they call to report the part was being ordered and it’d cost $650 is when my opinion was voiced, research began and leads me to the conclusion of their error verses coincidence on the timing of the sensor going out.
I have purchased and installed a turbo conversion kit for my non-turbo supra. I was just wondering if my stock fuel rail would be sufficient for me to install these new injectors on….
I like the look of the eclipse more, but I want an opinion. This will be my first car, so it working is pretty improtant. Some people say with regular maintenence, the eclipse works just fine. I’m taking auto-tech classes, so I’ll know how and when to do that. So which is better(I’m not looking for fuel economy, just a fun manual transmission to learn on)? Also, are there any frequent problems with that generation of eclipse? for speed, I’ve heard the eclipse is better, and that will be important, as I want to be a racer, but for a first car, not so much. So please share your knowledge. Thanks!!!
I’d like a gsx, and there’s one in my area for 3200. it’s a 1997, and in good shape. good price? the only reason for the gs is insurance prices, is it that different?
Thanks numba5! I’ll be getting the eclipse, probably the gsx for $3200, depending on insurance prices, as I make minimum wage now… But thanks, you’ve helped me to make up my mind!
My transmission has been acting “funny” for about 50,000mi. Recently my transmission hasn’t been “kicking into” 1st gear when starting up cold. I nearly have to “slam” on the accelerator to get the vehicle in motion, although reverse works flawlessly. Even during the times that it won’t shift into 1st gear. I check the trans fluid and it looked low and old so I changed the fluid and filter. When I replaced the fluid poer owners manual, it still looked low on the dipstick. With advice from other people I technically “double” filled with trans fluid. No difference. In fact, it only seems to be getting worse faster. Maybe this could be due to over filling of trans fluid? I don’t want to bring it in, since the last time it cost me hundreds of $$$ with no results. I also have an OTC Genysis Scan Tool with Import 2000 and I know it can check transmission problems, but I don’t know how to do it. Any help would be great – any fixes or should I bring it in to get fixed?
I want to Turbo my 2007 Toyota Corolla but not put so much boost on it that i have to rebuild the engine. But I don’t want to be mister speed racer either. So If you have any ideas on a turbo idea for maybe $1,000 or less, throw me some options!! Thanks!
I just bought a car for $13,000 with taxes and I have $11,000 left to pay on it. I don’t want anything to do with the car since I am moving to the city and I would like to sign everything over to my friend if possible. Is it possible to transfer a loan from Toyota Financial services over to my friend and sign the car over to him?
I called them and the correct awnser is that it is possible if my friend has a credit score equal to or better than mine.
