We are going to England next month and I’m debating renting a car so we can see a lot of places family was from in a 15 km radius in North Lincolnshire. I can’t drive a manual transmission (which most of the rentals seem to be from my searches?) . . . but the main question I have is how hard is it to adjust to the other side of the road thing?

In drivers ed, we were told that you are graded differently while driving a manual transmission for the road test. My instructor did not know the specific details of what is different, but said it was probably going to be harder. I was wondering what the different requirements are, and if anyone has taken the test in a manual and how it went.

He also mentioned that when you brake, you shouldn’t put the clutch in before you do so, and I do that… will I get points off for technically “coasting”? (Since it’s illegal to be in neutral…???)

My dodge truck will die after driving over a ruff road?

2003 dodge 2500 diesel has died several times after driving over wash board roads and other ruff road conditions. It does not give any warning and starts right up once I get stopped and in park. Diving without power is almost impossible and I am starting to fear my truck.
