I have the belt almost on. I need to get it around the last pulley (it is below the steering wheel. It looks like a pulley and then a shaft and then another pulley with a belt.) The last pulley has 3 metal brackets around it (to prevent the installed belt from coming off) that give about a quarter of an inch clearance around the pulley, but the belt is a half inch thick. Please help

I know that my 1990 Honda CRX has a blown gasket. My engine light is on. Will the engine light turn off after I replace the head gasket or do I have to do something after I replace the head gasket?

H.O. 5.0L motor with 10.5 to 1 comp and a 327 cam

How much would it cost me at a repair shop to fix?
Also if i purchased a used, matching/ close to matching engine how much would it cost to take the old one out and put in the new one? What if i tried to take the old one out myself to save money?

I just purchased a 1978 Honda Twinstar and was wondering if I need to replace my ignition coil. I removed it this evening and measured its resistance with an ohm meter. It is registering at .6 ohms.

One mechanic shop told me that you must replace the front struts if you replace the rack and pinion, another place told me that wasn’t true. Hi, I bought a manual car about 7 months ago, thinking I would be able to get my manual licence. However, I failed the test 3 times, and had been learning how to drive a manual 18 months before I took the test. I find that I make many more mistakes when driving under the stress of test conditions, and made hardly any when in the relaxed atmosphere of a lesson. I then realized that normal driving could get just as stressful as a test, and that an automatic would be the best option for me in terms of confidence and safety. Now the problem is – I have a rather nice Daihatsu Sirion (2003 model), that has done just 30,000 kms. My question is – is it possible to buy (from a wrecker or spare parts business) an automatic transmission of the same make and model as my current car, and replace the manual transmission? Or should I just trade my current car in for an automatic? I’d prefer the cheaper (and safer) option, as trading my car in would most likely involve me needing a loan from the bank.
