I have a really worn out 1994 manual Daewoo 1.5i and i cant afford a newer car yet.
Apart from problems sch as the fan belt squeaking, engine pinging, horn doesn’t work, etc etc…….my most recent problem is with the clutch.
As i was driving home, i noticed that when i put the clutch pedal in (as i come to a stop), the car will ratlle violently as though it is about to stall, for a few seconds then stop. The rattling is just like if i were to leave the clutch half out whilst stopped.
Any ideas what the problem is? but more importantly, how much it would cost to repair?

Wondering if I’m in this boat alone… In Oct ’03 I bought a used ’03 Odyssey w/ 7-yr used vehicle warranty. After being reassigned to Germany my transmission failed. Per the manual, the warranty is only valid in the U.S. but the local dealer told me Honda policy honored the warranty for military members who were moved overseas and shipped the Honda w/them. I called Honda (1-800-999-1009) and explained my circumstances. The did, in fact, state that the U.S.-only clause was waived for the military and that I could have the repairs done at the German Honda dealer and would be reimbursed. I had to fax them a copy of my travel orders and shipping documents… no sweat. That was in Sep 06… today I called them to see what the delay was and I was told that they DO NOT honor the overseas work under the warranty. Could not explain why I was told otherwise, but simply said they will not pay the reimbursement. Ouch! Anyone have a similar experience and, if so, how’d you handle it?
I failed Colorado emissions twice for too high Nox- everything else is well below the average. I had a mechanic run diagnostics and nothing was out of range or flagged.Check engine light is Not on and the mechanic just basically stood there scratching his head saying everything seems ok- He did suggest a tune up to replace my fuel filter and spark plugs and the whole nine. Do you think that is the problem? My catalytic converter seems to be ok but all I did was hit the side to see what I heard – I asked the mechanic to check it and he said it wasn’t that- My car is a 95 Kia Sephia… Any suggestions? Oh and I used the guarantee to pass and failed anyway- not sure that stuff works- I do have a loose motor mount- could that be the culprit? My engine lifts up on acceleration and that is when my levels go from below normal to 300%. during the acceration portion of the test-

My transmission has been acting “funny” for about 50,000mi. Recently my transmission hasn’t been “kicking into” 1st gear when starting up cold. I nearly have to “slam” on the accelerator to get the vehicle in motion, although reverse works flawlessly. Even during the times that it won’t shift into 1st gear. I check the trans fluid and it looked low and old so I changed the fluid and filter. When I replaced the fluid poer owners manual, it still looked low on the dipstick. With advice from other people I technically “double” filled with trans fluid. No difference. In fact, it only seems to be getting worse faster. Maybe this could be due to over filling of trans fluid? I don’t want to bring it in, since the last time it cost me hundreds of $$$ with no results. I also have an OTC Genysis Scan Tool with Import 2000 and I know it can check transmission problems, but I don’t know how to do it. Any help would be great – any fixes or should I bring it in to get fixed?
I have a 2004 dodge truck 1500 and the back up lights have quit working. I have changed the bulbs and checked the fuses. But have found nothing wrong.
More often than not – my audi steering jams up and becomes heavy. It feels like how it would feel if the engine wasn’t switched on. I have taken it to many different garages and nobody can help.
My HO 2007 has about 1000 miles. It makes this humming noise. Dealer says it’s normal; some cars are louder or quieter. There’s nothing they can do about it. They checked external parts – they’re OK. It sounds like the exhaust system is bad. (A-Pipe, my friend-mechanic says). It’s very annoying and will become unbearable soon. Please advise what to do and how to make the dealer fix it…

I’ve been looking to buy a used jeep and i have seen so many that have mannyy miles on them (like 130,000!). Is it worth buying one of these vehicles with this many miles on it?
I’m considering buying a used Audi A4, I have heard before that they can last a pretty long time so I was wondering if it would be a wise investment to buy a used A4 with up to 150,000 miles on it. Lets say the owner before took good care of the Audi.
