1) So I’ve been reading about Eve and doing some research. I am completely lost here on what to do. Here is what I have so far, I want to become a fighter, maybe someone who kills ships and stuff and fights.
The problem is I heard starting off as a miner is more important because you need money, I don’t mind this at all. The thing is, what about my stats? I heard that you need like specific stats for specific things, like Mining needs some stats differently than fighting stats, such as intelligence. So I work as a miner for a couple months to a year and build my stats around mining, how on earth am I suppose to become a fighter with such stats then? Will I be gimped that way?
I heard that you can reset your stats once every year? So I can reset my stats after a year as a miner and become a fighter, correct? I’m so confused, I am so totally lost, I am a complete big fat noobie at this game. Please help me out, thanks.
2) Also I have another question that’s entirely different, so there are skills (Industry, Learning, Mechanic, Navigation, Spaceship Command) that you train and you put them in the queue, etc. These skills will train when you are offline correct? Also is there a limit to these skills? Like is there a cap on how much I can level each one? Do leveling specific ones cap out different ones from being leveled? Such as in another game let’s say for example; in this game you have 4 strength at level 1 and the max level for that game is let’s say 50, if I level up my strength only until lvl 50, then I won’t be able to lvl up my agility because it’s been capped out by my strength, get it?
Does Eve online limit you that way too? Or can you level EVERY skill (Industry, Learning, Mechanic, Navigation, Spaceship Command) to the max?
3) Also when you die on Eve, do you lose all the skills (Industry, Learning, Mechanic, Navigation, Spaceship Command) that you’ve gained alongside with your ship? Or do you only lose your ship if you don’t have insurance?
