How do you patch up a hole in a muffler?

I have a hole on the bottom of my muffler (not the tip) and it’s about a .25″ wide. How would I patch up the hole so that it’s as good as new?

I was thinking of having it welded back together. What do you think?

So I have a small diesel escort. I have heard some gas cars have that roar that you typically only hear from a Detroit Diesel. Is there a muffler I can get that will make my car sound cool?

When i cold start my motor blue stuff comes out the muffler real quick and vanishes?

i noticed when i cold start my car i see blue stuff shoot out the muffler really fast and then its gone? also on cold startup i hear this loud squealy sound for a few secongs but that goes away also?

as for the blue smoke can it be oil somehow mixing with my gas? or a fuel injector seal leaking?

for the squealing belt is loose or bad? alternator is bad?

How do you repack a motorcycle muffler?

I want to remove the fiberglass packing in my motorcycle muffler. Is it necessary to remove the muffler from the exhaust? Will drilling out the rivets while the muffler is still on the bike, damage it?

I have a 2000 Toyota Camry and couple of days ago it started to make some noise. I thought it was muffler problem. So, I took it to a mechanic and he told me that there is something wrong with one of the silencer pipes in the front (he said it’s called prong pipe or something). He told me that he would need couple of days to see how much it costs. Does anyone know how much it might cost to repair that pipe. It’s one of the pipes connected with the muffler (not the muffler though) in the front of the car.

By the way: I am not certain what it’s called (he has a greek accent and I couldn’t understand what he said), but it’s one of the pipes in the front of the car that is connected to the muffler. How much it might cost? He also said that it would take an hour or two.

I have a 1977 Ford F-350 and i was just wonder about which muffler i should use. I am going to put headers on it with true duals but i was initially going to use cherry bomb glasspacks, but my dad’s friend told me to go with the Flowmaster 40 series muffler.
