I am looking for a nearly unbreakable bolt in rear axle assembly for a z71 half ton?

I have a 89 chevy 1/2 ton 4×4 with a few mods done to it. not really the serious offroad truck but it does see its use. i have rebuilt the rear end (10 bolt) three times due to poor work from a shop 1 time and twice from mechanical failure. I have killed it again with my stupidity of using it as a tractor. I want a strong bolt in with 4.56 gears and still be able to run my six lug wheels since they are new and fairly expensive. I am running 35 14.50 tires on it and do know that it is not the best for the truck. any help for some good companies to check into will be greatly appreciated.

How much am I looking at total repairs costs + labor? I don’t want to get ripped off?

Car is 98 mazda millenia 2.5L

Problem is no power steering and overheating.

I think the power steering pump and/or belt is broken.

around how much should I expect to pay for everything (parts, labor, etc)?

thanks alot
Thankfully the vehicle hasn’t overheated. I saw the temperature go straight up to the top and I immediately went home and turned off the car. Hopefully it is not an expensive repair. thanks for the answers!

Looking for Hyundai master tech for power steering problem?

I did a side job on a 02′ Elantra for a friend. Timing belt, water pump, drive belts. Now, when steering is turned to full lock either direction, ps pump pulley comes to stop and belt squeals. Re-tensioned ps belt extremely tight…way tighter than it should be yet belt still squeals and pulley stops. Otherwise, everything feels and drives normal. Any ideas??? I’m a Toyota MDT but have little experience with Hyundai and their characteristics. Can anyone help??

Looking to get a different car…?

I’ve owned a 97 Saturn SC2 Coupe for about 8 years now and that thing has been in and out of the mechanic a good 13 times now, it’s going in for its 14th now for the fourth consecutive repair on an automatic window and front axel issues and transmission problems.

I was thinking, maybe its time to invest in a different car, the SC2 has been paid for and I came across this car, It’s a Porsche from 1984 http://www.ssip.net/upload/porsche-944-turbo-front-2_165.jpg

I’d really like to have a porsche car but I don’t know much about them and their maintenence especially for a 1984. Your thoughts are appreciated on what I should do. Keep the saturn or move on?

Teenager looking for first car?

yep, it’s that time for me to start looking for my first car. seeing as i’m a broke 16-yr-old, i would like the cheapest thing i can find that runs ;) haha.

in an ideal world: a 4-door sedan that’s 15 years old or less, that drives well and doesn’t have weird behavioral problems, working radio/stereo, good sized trunk (this is actually really important as i ride horses and need to be able to cart my horse equipment to and from shows), reasonably small (i hate big cars), and has a very good fuel economy. oh, and it has to be automatic, i can’t drive a manual. and it needs to be pretty durable and not need many repairs.

is this a lot to ask? what is the absolute cheapest you think i would have to spend on this? i know that the more expensive the more reliable it is, but i really truly have to go for the absolute minimum here.

my specific questions:
- how much would this cost?
- what kinds of things should i look for in an ad?
- where should i be looking?
- what makes are solid and reliable?
- what models fit this description closely enough?
- any other tips?

thanks so much! i know nothing about cars!

looking to not get ripped off.. Cheap trick or not?

when i had my 93 saturn SL1 i got this little sensor thing that plugs into my IAT sensor and it was suppose to give me like 10-15 HP didnt work anyone tell me if if this is a gimmick for my honda accord? it says that adds 50 horsepower and 3 MPG and all it does is plugs into my IAT sensor but i dont wanna pay 59.99 for something that is a load of **** said its made to control my engine….

Just read please –
also here is the link to look at image and everything http://www.performancechipsdirect.com/Ho…

How it works:

To get these kind of benefits and installing a PCD Performance chip might sound daunting at first, but with clear cut instructions and a straight forward installation process; even the most novice of mechanics can install the unit in less than 15 minutes. There is no soldering involved. You’ll locate your vehicle’s IAT sensor and your new Chip will be installed via the factory harness.

You do not have to purchase any other items in order to install the PCD Chip. Once installed, the new signal will be sent to your computer and will take effect immediately. Your timing is automatically adjust without setting it manually with a timing light, your fuel injector duty increases automatically when it needs to and air / fuel ratios are tweaked as you shift through each gear. Manual transmission or Automatic transmission; it doesn’t matter.

Bottom line is our PCD Performance chips give you results. They 100% legal, one of the easiest modifications you can make to your car and won’t hurt any other component on your vehicle, stock or not. Get your PCD Engine ECU Chip and get worry-free results!

*All horsepower gains are measured via dyno-tuning statistics and at the vehicle’s wheel, not exaggerated flywheel-horsepower numbers like some companies. Many times, aftermarket companies will make claims that aren’t entirely true because a significant amount of power is lost from the transfer of horsepower made at the flywheel to horsepower that reaches your wheels.

looking for reliable boston area motorcycle repair. vintage experience preferred!?

i’ve checked a lot of motorsports dealerships/service departments in boston and everyone’s booked up till late july. also many shops won’t touch my bike till fall since it’s a ’73 honda (they all say there could be a lot of problems once they start working on it).
does anyone know an old dude with a garage and a wrench that’s been doing this stuff for years? or a reliable service department that isn’t doing oil changes till december?
