The front tire on my tractor went flat and the inside bead of the tire has separated so far from the rim that it won’t hold air. I tried beating it back over to the rim but that didn’t work. If I lower it back to the ground and drive on it a bit might that cause the bead get back where it belongs? Any suggestions other that taking it off and to a repair shop?

I currently drive the truck described obove with concerns of having a lemon. 3 months ago, I had to replace the left from hub or bearing which cost approx. $425. Now I am experiencing the same howling in the left front. Everyone I talk to cannot believe I have to replace the bearings in a 4 year old truck, especially the left one. Is there a possible defect that could be causing the bearings to go out or cannot I be confident that it will be taken care of when I replace them? I am also wondering the quality of bearings to put in: A GM bearing costs $400, I can purchase one from a local auto parts store for $325, or I can purchase one off of Ebay for anywhere from $55 – $180 and have a friend do the repair. Please help me out and give me your opinion on what I should do. Has anyone else had problems with front bearings on a similar truck?
Has anyone had any experience with front hub assemblies purchased from the ebay dealers? If so where you satisfied with the durability and quality
I am not off roading, I drive mainly highway miles, I have put on 32,000 miles since I bought it in Dec. of 2008
So I’ve got a dent just above one of the wheels. It’s about 30cm wide and there is no damage to the paintwork at all. It’s not very deep and isn’t really that bad.
Out of curiosity I went to the body shop this morning and got a quote for £250 – to be honest I’m shocked at how expensive that is to get a little dent fixed! Is this a fair price to pay? or am I about to be ripped off?
I’m thinking about just leaving it and not bothering trying to fix it.
I realise that this is very veigue and you can’t actully see the damage to asses it propperly, but as you can probably tell I know nothing about car repairs so any opinions/experience would be appreciated.
Thanks
I just had the front struts replaced on my 2002 Honda Civic. Yesterday my AC/ cabin fan was working just fine. When I picked my car up and drove away I turned on the fan, and now it (the fan) makes a squeaking sound.
Normally I wouldn’t make any connection, since the struts should have nothing to do with whether or not the fan works.
Is there a chance that something they did while replacing struts/ aligning the wheels that would now make the fan squeak?
Perhaps the process to realign the wheel jostled something out of place? Possible. I realize the fan has not physical connection to the wheels/struts- I just think it’s odd that I would not have this problem one day, then have it right after I had some work done.
failed MD State inspection due to a “leak in both left and right front struts” … brought it to the chevy dealer today and the service guy said that is odd because the new struts they use arent filled with fluid anymore like they used to be a few years back. just wanted to know if the info im getting is legit or if the guys at the state inspection place are blowing smoke up my @ss.
Transmission fluid change costs approximately 200.00
Front strut work costs about 1600.00
I can keep saving for struts but transmission may be more important in short run.
What do you think I should opt for immediately?
making a sound like tire is flat, but tires were very recently balanced and rotated, so I guess it is a “knocking” type sound….seems to be coming from the front….don’t want to get taken advantage of when i take it in for repairs….
