I turned the ignition over and JAM, okay i get under the truck and discover starter drive housing cracked off and in my flywheel. After fishing the housing piece out i tried to pop start, NO DICE… like the motor is locked up. so either theirs a piece of that housing still jammed in their, or My biggest question… is it possible my motor is hydro-locked?

I had a tune on my Mercury Villager a week ago. The service your engine light was on. Now 2 days later the light is back on with a new code #PO305 indicating # 5 misfire in my fuel injector

We have a 2001 Ford Windstar limited. The power sliding door on the passengers side stopped working by key fob, button, and power assist when opening with the handle. This is only a problem with the door on one side. It will open a little everynow and then when using the buttons up front or the buttons for the passenger. It gets about 6 inches open and stops. It also doesn’t even sound like it’s trying.
Any thoughts?

My Mini cooper is making such big noises that I can’t continue to ignore so I took it to the shop. I was told the front wheel bearing needs to get replaced. The whole noise started when I took the car for repairs and tire alignment six month ago. My car is 2004 model and only has 60K miles on it. What i am trying to figure out is that if the previous repairs can possibly cause the bearing to go bad. This is what happened:
1) The front lower control arm bushings were replaced
2) The previous shop called to say that they discover some noises and noticed that the ball joints need to be replaced so they went ahead to replace that
3) I then took the car to get tire alignment right the next day
4) I started noticing noises the next day after tire alignment
5) The noises get louder and louder over the six month period
6) the new shop told me the front wheel bearing needs to be replaced
Can any car expert give me opinion is it possible the previous shop or the tire alignment actually made the bearing to go bad? I am pretty sure it has to one of them since the noise started right the same time.

I changed my regulator a few weeks ago, didnt have the o-ring to replace it. The old one was melted and basically in pieces and I just put it back. Since then i’ve replaced A LOT of other stuff (pump, filter, distributor, rotor, plugs, repaired line, new battery…) and the car still wont run. it wont start w/o starter fluid and when it is running it dies at low RPM or chokes out when your foot is giving gas. now i remember the o-ring thing and wonder if that caused a leak by taking the thing apart. obviously im looking for a new one right now but would this cause a car to not run is my question, how vital is this o-ring?

I have a 1998 Nissan Maxima. Recently I have been having some electrical issues. Sometimes, when I start the car, the speedometer, odometer, A/C, Windows, directionals and heated seats do not have power. However, I will still have power going to my radio, brake lights, head lights, windshield wipers, dash lights, etc. However, after the car runs for a few minutes everything will start working again all at once, and will work fine until I turn the car off and start it up again. Any clue why this may be happening.

I have a 2000 Ford Expedition and the heater core was fixed about 2 weeks ago. The problem is when I turn on the heater I still smell antifreeze and my heater is not very hot when it’s on full blast only warm. Is there anything else that can cause the heater to still smell like antifreeze when it’s turned on? My windows don’t fog up anymore.

I have a 1988 Acura Legend two automatic transmissions one is locked up, and the other quits pulling when it gets hot.I am pretty sure the one that stops pulling is the pump, but what caused the other to lock up?

I’ve been having a problem with my car not starting. I checked the alternator. No problem. I changed to a new battery. Radio, clock, lights were all turned off. But the next day, the battery is completely dead again.
If the brake light switch is broken on “On” position, is it possible that this could drain all the power from the new battery? How do I find out if the brake light switch is a problem?
Thank you for your advice.

I recently started having trouble with my transmission. It started slipping when I was driving down the interstate and then it went out all together, I bought one and put it in and it did the same thing, it will drive in reverse but nothing else. I bought another one this week and put it in and the same thing happened AGAIN… I am sick of this, $3000 and nothing but trouble. When I put the second one in it got stuck in all gears, I would put it in drive and it would go in reverse. If anyone has an answer it would be GREATLY appreciated. It is a 2002 Ford F-150 Triton V8 (sport edition)
