I Just Had New Brake Pads And Rotors Replaced On My 2000 S500 Mercedes Benz, And The Brakes Are Squealing When?

I apply the brakes. I took it back and they think that the pads are moving just a little. something about a brake pin may not be holding the pad in tight. sometime when backing out, you can hear a click sound. Have anyone eve heard of this? Had a couple of people look at it.

Did you have aftermarket pads and rotors put on or OEM parts? That could be making the difference. I have done 100s of sets of brakes on MB vehicles and cant see this happening unless the pressure retaining clip was not installed. It is possible that the pressure retaining spring or anti-rattle clip was not installed or is moving around a small amount. We used( I still use) a lube at the dealer on the backs and sides of the pads. I remember some noise being a problem years ago and updated pads were used and new pressure clips as well. I only use MB parts on my MB customer’s cars because the tolerances are very tight on these vehicles.

sounds like something you need to have looked at my someone who is familiar with doing break jobs on mercedes benz cars. Sounds like something that could get worse and more serious if not taken care of immediately. The people who did the work, how much are they saying it would cost to fix this in not holding problem?
