    I used the same oil I would use in a car, it’s a four stroke motor isn’t it! 10 w 40 !

I have never heard of mobile oil instant yamalube. Yamalube is made for Yamaha by someone, but I doubt that it’s Mobil Oil.

You need to specify the model of your bike when you ask questions about it. Yamaha has made more than one, you know. If you are refering to transmission/engine lubrication oil most any name brand oil of the proper viscosity will be fine. I have used Castrol GTX for 25+ years without any problems, if that’s any help.

If your bike is a two-stroke and you need injection oil I recommend Pennzoil 2-stroke oil. It burns extremely clean: I have never had it foul the spark plug.

My motorcycle is a 1985 Yamaha Virago 700. I use mostly Castrol 10w40, and in the summer mix in Castrol 20w50.
