Can You Insure A Motorcycle For 2 Months Out Of A Year?

I would like to know if I can insure a motorcycle for 2 months out of the year and only pay for those 2 months. For example I have to pay $170 a month to insure a motorcycle. Can I pay for those 2 months or do I have $2000 a year to insure it? If I can will there be large administrative fees when I start/terminate every year? And encase anyone asks, I am interested in this as use for transportation during the summer holidays when there is no school.

Depends on where you are located. I know here in Utah if its a registered vehicle it must have insurance on it. You can get permission to put insurance on hold for the winter, but it takes a lot of work and paperwork from the DMV.
