2001 Ford Focus.when I’m Driving My Car The Whole Car Vibrates. Could This Be An Engine Problem?

If so, how should it be fixed and how much will it cost?

I sold Fords for 25 years. I am now retired. If I remember correctly the 2001 Ford Focus had quite a few recalls. Two that come to mind that might cause your car to vibrate are a recall for the steering linkage and a recall for the wheel lugs. The wheel lug recall, if not fixed would cause premature wheel bearing wear. Both of these recalls are factory paid. The best thing to do is call your Ford dealer, give them the VIN of your car, The service department will run it through there computer and see if there are any outstanding recalls on your car
Best bet would be take it to your local mechanic. Just a few things to check would be the motor mounts (approx 200 – 400 dollars), tire balance (approx 25 dollars), tire pressure (free), rotors (approx 100 dollars), alignment (approx 75 dollars). It could be a lot of different things, so no way to diagnoses over the computer with out more info. But at least this should give you a starting point. Best of luck.
like holy ****……. u want us to not only diagnose ur problem but give u a cost to fix it with that little amount of information……..y not ask us for next weeks winning lotto numbers….we’ll have just as good a chance at that……..so how about repost with some useful info or better yet a video of ur problem…..until then………… yea cud b ur engine…..buy a new car ……hows that for a solution?
Probably your tires. To know for sure, run the car up to the speed where it shakes and put it in neutral and let the RPMs drop. If it still shakes with the engine at idle speed its probably your tires or a bent rim.
It could be but look at the easier posibilities first such as a tire imbalance or wrong air pressure.
Possible engine,or transmission
